FSC International invites all interested stakeholders to the next webinar in a series dedicated to the revised Controlled Wood Standard Requirements for Sourcing FSC Controlled Wood (FSC-STD-40-005 V3-0).

FSC Australia encourages all interested parties to register for, and participate in, the second of four online modules designed to facilitate an understanding of the revised Standard. The webinar will focus on the development and use of risk assessments that assess the risk of material originating from unacceptable sources. These are crucial for the implementation of the revised Controlled Wood Standard.

The risk assessments are part of the due diligence system implemented by organisations applying the revised Controlled Wood Standard to avoid material from unacceptable sources. They comprise risk assessments developed, and currently being developed, by FSC as well as risk assessments conducted by organisations for areas where FSC does not have an approved risk assessment.

The webinar will cover the following key topics:

• How risk assessments are developed by FSC;

• How risk assessments developed by FSC should be used by organisations implementing the revised Controlled Wood Standard; and

• How organisations can conduct risk assessments for the origin of material where no FSC risk assessment exists for a particular area.

The second webinar has been scheduled at various times on 16 and 17 March 2016. Click here to register and select the date and time that best accommodates your needs.
