SCS Global Services (SCS) is conducting a controlled wood (CW) surveillance audit of Carter Holt Harvey Central & Northern Region Pty Ltd (SCS-COC-004912) for wood harvested from third party plantations in the Adelaide hills and Green Triangle Region of the South East of South Australia and South West Victoria. The audit will be conducted week commencing 9th of March 2015 at the company office in Mt Gambier and ship loading facility in Portland Victoria, the supply chain and four plantation harvest locations located near the Adelaide Hills and Mt Gambier in South Australia and South West Victoria.
Carter Holt Harvey Central & Northern Region Pty Ltd is required to maintain a field verification audit program in relation to High Conservation Values at the Forest Management Unit (FMU) level, which includes appropriate stakeholder consultation.
SCS will conduct an independent field audit to assess conformity of the company’s Verification Program for third party wood sources and to verify that stakeholder consultation has been undertaken. This will occur before, during and after the field work, but prior to completion of the audit report.
