Meaningful stakeholder engagement is a key element in FSC’s approach to certification. Both FSC’s full forest management standard and its two controlled wood standards establish requirements for engaging affected and interested stakeholders in a number of processes. Similarly, FSC standards and procedures for Certification bodies conducting FSC audits also set out requirements for stakeholder consultation during assessments.
These survey questions are designed to get the views of those with an economic, social or environmental perspective. They will inform potential guidance and best-practise suggestions to be provided by FSC Australia.

In 2013 FSC Australia, in partnership with Dr Tim Cadman, conducted a survey about stakeholder engagement specific to Controlled Wood, upon which this one is based. Information gathered from that survey will be incorporated into the feedback received with this one. As such, you do not need to fill this out again if you participated previously. However, if you would like to fill out the survey again to incorporate more recent experiences please feel free to do so.
